Position Overview:
Phaxis Education is seeking a passionate Spanish Teacher to join a dynamic high-school team in Washington, DC. This full-year role (Spanish I & II) offers a supportive environment and collaboration with another Spanish teacher covering Levels III & IV.

The ideal educator will bring strong classroom management skills, effective communication, and a toolkit for engaging diverse learners in an inclusive Gen Ed setting.
Position Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP (target 11/03 start)

  • Schedule: Follows district bell schedule (~40 hrs/week)

  • Grades: 9–12

  • Class Type: General Education (some integrated 504 students)

  • Caseload: Standard classroom sizes

  • Interview: Virtual

  • Contract Length: Through June 2026

  • Virtual/Hybrid: Onsite only
Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching Spanish I & II at the secondary level

  • Strong classroom-management and student-engagement skills

  • Current or eligible DC teaching certification (Spanish)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or related field

  • Experience preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered
