Title: School Counselor
Location: Garden City, MI
Pay Rate: $50–$55 / hour

As a K-12 School Counselor in Garden City, MI, your days will include supporting students’academic, personal, and social-emotional growth through responsibilities such as:
 
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students'academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Implement schoolwide guidance curriculum aligned with district and state standards.
  • Conduct assessments and collect data to identify student needs and inform intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to develop student success plans.
  • Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and crisis intervention meetings as needed.
  • Support students with college, career, and academic planning (as applicable by grade level).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school, district, and state requirements.
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards consistent with ASCA and district guidelines.
 
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited program.
  • Current state certification or licensure as a School Counselor (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
 
Supervision
Works under the supervision of the school principal or designated administrative lead.
 
Job Details
Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
Hours: Full-time 
Caseload:  High School

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
