Title:  Paraprofessional / Teaching Assistant - Low Incidence Classroom
Location: West Ashley, SC
Pay Rate: Up to $28 / hour

As a Low Incidence Paraprofessional in West Ashley, SC, your days will include providing direct student care such as: 
  • Assisting with diapering, toileting, and feeding, as needed, based on student needs.
  • Providing close supervision and support for students who may elope or need one-on-one behavioral support.
  • Supporting instruction during both the morning and afternoon sessions of the class
  • Maintaining a calm, caring, and patient demeanor helps students feel safe and regulated.
  • Assisting with daily routines, transitions, and the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Job Details
  • Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
  • Hours: Full-time (Monday - Friday) 40 hrs
  • Caseload:  Low Incidence Classroom;1 teacher, 2 assistants
Successful candidates will possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;some districts require an Associate’s degree or passing of a Paraprofessional exam.
  • Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to follow IEPs and behavior plan
  • Trained or willing to be trained in CPI
