Position Overview
Phaxis Education is now scheduling interviews for Special Education Teachers in the Washington, DC area for the 2025 2026 school year, with an immediate start date. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure your position early and be a part of a team that s committed to inclusion, growth, and student success.

We re looking for educators who are passionate about supporting diverse learners across a variety of settings including inclusion, resource, and self-contained classrooms.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide IEP-driven instruction tailored to students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs

  • Collaborate with general education staff, service providers, and families to support inclusive learning

  • Track progress and maintain compliance with all documentation and reporting standards

  • Contribute meaningfully to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning sessions

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
Requirements

  • Valid Special Education Teaching License in Washington, DC (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field

  • Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship
Job Details

  • Contract Type: School-year placement (Immediately June 2026)

  • Caseload: Varies (PreK 12), matched based on your strengths and preferences

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday Friday

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
