Job Description

Spanish Teacher (Grades 9–12)
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite only)
Schedule: Full-time, Mon–Fri, 8: 00 AM–3: 30 PM (35 hrs/week;30-min unpaid lunch)
Term: ASAP –June 15, 2026
Interview: Virtual —ASAP (quick turnaround)
Pay: $40–$50/hr (W2), DOE

The Opportunity
Join a DC high school as a Spanish Teacher delivering engaging instruction for Spanish I/II (and potentially upper levels). You’ll plan rigorous, proficiency-based lessons aligned to ACTFL standards, differentiate for varied learner needs (including inclusion settings), and contribute to a positive school culture.
Role Highlights

  • Courses: Spanish I/II (potential for III/IV based on schedule/experience)

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and deliver daily Spanish instruction with target-language immersion

  • Differentiate materials/assessments;implement accommodations as needed

  • Use data to monitor progress and adjust instruction

  • Maintain strong, proactive classroom management

  • Collaborate with department team, support staff, and families
What We’re Looking For

  • Instruction: Proficiency-based/communicative teaching aligned to ACTFL

  • Classroom Management: Consistent, positive systems (required)

  • Licensure: No specific DC license required;DC OSSE Secondary World Languages —Spanish preferred (out-of-state considered)

  • Experience with inclusion settings (OHI/SLD) a plus;bilingual English/Spanish communication helpful

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
