Position Overview
Phaxis Education is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a long-term substitute assignment at the elementary level. This is a full-time role from August 25 –November 2025 supporting two elementary schools in the Scituate, MA area.

The BCBA will provide behavioral consultation to staff regarding students with autism and/or behavioral challenges, with a focus on improving students’academic, communication, behavioral, social, and emotional regulation skills.

This is an in-person position only –services must be provided onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct classroom observations of students with autism and/or behavioral needs

  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

  • Provide consultation, training, and coaching to staff in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and data collection

  • Support teachers in discrete trial training and specialized interventions

  • Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to progress reporting

  • Collaborate with school administrators, special services teams, and related providers

  • Uphold IDEA regulations and students’rights to a least restrictive environment

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (required)
Current BCBA licensure in Massachusetts (required)
Strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills
Authorized to work in the U.S. By first day of employment
2+ years of experience working with children with autism (preferred)

Assignment Details

  • Type: Long-Term Substitute (Traveling role across 2 elementary schools)

  • Hours: Full-time, school-based schedule

  • Duration: ~60 days (August 25 –November 2025)

  • Setting: Elementary, in-person only
