School Psychologist –Full Time (2026–2027 School Year)

Location - Saint Paul, MN

Schedule: Full-Time, Full School Year

Reports To: Director of Student Services / Building Principal

Position Overview

The School Psychologist supports students’academic, behavioral, and emotional growth by conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, families, and community partners. This full-time role plays a vital part in creating safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy learning environments for all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral assessments to evaluate student needs.
  • Interpret testing data and prepare detailed, actionable evaluation reports.
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support social–emotional and behavioral health.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to design effective academic and behavioral interventions.
  • Promote school-wide mental health initiatives, such as wellness campaigns and prevention programs targeting bullying, attendance, and crisis response.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using data-driven decision-making to monitor progress and evaluate outcomes.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and support students experiencing emotional distress or trauma.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
  • State certification/licensure (or eligibility) as a School Psychologist.
  • Successful completion of a supervised internship in school psychology (1, 200 hours preferred).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential.
  • Experience implementing multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and conducting data-based interventions.
  • Familiarity with behavioral consultation, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning frameworks.
