Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Redwood Falls, MN Area

Position Type: Full-Time, 2026–2027 School Year

Start Date: August 2026 (aligned with district calendar)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students receiving special education services in the Saint Paul, MN area for the 2026–2027 school year. The OT will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students’functional, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills to enhance participation and success in the school environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services to students with a variety of needs
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Support development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation skills
  • Adapt classroom environments, materials, and activities to improve student access and engagement
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data collection
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
  • Provide training and strategies to staff and caregivers to support student success

 

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Minnesota
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Knowledge of IDEA and special education processes
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within a team environment
