Special Education Teacher –Elementary Autism Classrooms | $45–$55+/hr | 2025–2026 School Year

Location: Massachusetts
Pay Rate: $45–$55+ per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | 36.25 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP through June 12, 2026
Position Overview
Phaxis Education is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to join elementary autism support classrooms for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide meaningful instruction and support in small, sub-separate classroom settings.
Openings

  • K–1 Sub-Separate Classroom –students with autism

  • Grades 2–4 Sub-Separate Classroom –students with autism
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs

  • Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and life skills

  • Use data-driven strategies to track and adjust instruction

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff

  • Maintain records and participate in IEP meetings and parent communication

  • Create an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license (or eligibility)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

  • Experience in autism support classrooms preferred

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship

  • Caseload: Small, autism-focused sub-separate classrooms (K–4)

  • Interview Timeline: 24–48 hours
