Evening Nurse –Baltimore, MD & Surrounding Areas
Position: Evening Nurse (RN/LPN –based on district requirements)
Location: Baltimore, MD + surrounding areas
Schedule: Evening Shift (full-time or part-time options available)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive hourly pay —negotiable based on experience and license
Position Overview
Phaxis Education is hiring an Evening Nurse to support students in a specialized school setting. Unlike traditional school nursing roles that end in the afternoon, this opportunity supports student needs during evening hours, which often aligns with residential programming / after-school coverage / extended-day student services.

This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy school-based care but prefer an evening schedule.

Note: Some specialized schools provide nurse coverage whenever students are on campus —including evenings and overnight coverage.
Responsibilities (may include)

  • Provide nursing support to students during evening hours

  • Medication administration and monitoring

  • Respond to student health needs and urgent concerns

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow district protocols

  • Coordinate care with school teams and families as needed

  • Support health plans for students with complex medical needs
Requirements

  • Active nursing license (RN or LPN depending on role requirements)

  • School nursing and/or pediatric experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable working independently and responding calmly in urgent situations
