Phaxis Education is actively seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in school-based settings throughout Baltimore, MD and nearby communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who wants meaningful work, strong support, and the flexibility to shape a schedule that fits your life.
Position Overview
As a School-Based OT, you’ll provide services that help students access their education through IEP-driven supports. Students may include those with visual impairments, multiple disabilities, autism, sensory processing needs, fine motor delays, and adaptive skill goals. Services may be delivered through pull-out and/or classroom-based support depending on student needs and setting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services aligned to IEP goals

  • Support students with fine motor, sensory regulation, adaptive/self-help, and functional school skills

  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, documentation, and treatment planning

  • Collaborate with related service providers, teachers, and school teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as needed

  • Maintain compliance with district/state documentation standards
Qualifications

  • Active Maryland OT License required (or ability to obtain)

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred (but not required)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and documentation efficiently

  • New grads may be considered depending on supervision availability
