Schedule: Full-time and part-time options available

Phaxis Education is actively seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support students in school-based settings throughout Baltimore, MD and nearby communities. This role is ideal for a PT who is passionate about student growth and mobility, enjoys a collaborative team environment, and wants flexibility in their schedule and work setting.
Position Overview
The School-Based PT will support students who require physical therapy services as part of their IEP program, helping them improve functional mobility, independence, and access to learning. Students may include those with orthopedic impairments, neurological conditions, developmental delays, and multiple disabilities. Services can take place in a therapy space, classroom, gym, or across campus depending on needs.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide PT services aligned with IEP goals and student needs

  • Support mobility, strength, balance, endurance, gait training, and functional movement skills

  • Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and accessibility supports

  • Collaborate with OT, SLP, nursing, teachers, and school teams

  • Complete evaluations, documentation, progress reports, and treatment plans

  • Participate in IEP meetings and parent/team consultations as needed

  • Ensure compliance with all district/state documentation requirements
Qualifications

  • Active Maryland PT License required (or ability to obtain)

  • School-based and/or pediatric experience preferred (but not required)

  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills

  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams

  • New grads may be considered depending on supervision and placement fit
Pay / Compensation
