Paraprofessional / Behavior Technician (3 Openings) —Acton, MA
Pay: $25–$30+/hr (based on experience)
Schedule:
•Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri: 8: 30 AM –3: 30 PM
•Wed: 8: 30 AM –12: 50 PM
(~32.5 hours/week;lunch per district policy)

Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months, with potential to continue through 06/18/2026 depending on candidate fit and school needs. There is also potential for extension into the 2026–2027 school year.

Setting: Onsite only
About the Role
Phaxis Education is seeking Paraprofessionals / Behavior Technicians to support students within a specialized program serving students with social-emotional disabilities.

This role will involve working in 1: 1 and small-group settings, providing behavioral and academic support within both specialized classrooms and inclusion environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are patient, collaborative, and passionate about helping students succeed.
Responsibilities
•Provide 1: 1 behavioral and academic support to students
•Assist teachers and specialists with classroom instruction and student engagement
•Implement behavior support plans and assist with daily data collection
•Utilize de-escalation strategies and proactive behavioral supports
•Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills
•Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment
•Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and school staff
Qualifications
•Experience working with students in school, behavioral, or ABA settings preferred
•Paraprofessional qualifications required in Massachusetts, including one of the following:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher

  • Completion of 48+ college credit hours, or

  • Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment

•Experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs preferred
•Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism
•SafetyCare, CPI, or similar crisis prevention training preferred
