Travel Package is available 

Interviewing for a school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) job opening in beautiful Alaska. This will be a travel position for the school year. The candidate will need to apply for the Alaska license once the offer has been extended and accepted.  

School Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Details
  • Position: Travel Contract in a school setting
  • Hours: Full-time (Monday - Friday)
  • Travel opportunity
  • Caseload: Elementary, Middle, and High School options
Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements 
  • Masters and/or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
  • An active State Licensure in the state you are traveling from
  • Ability to apply for an Alaska Licensure once the offer has been extended and accepted
  • A Department of Education Licensure, if applicable
  • Note: new graduates are welcome to apply
  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor

Occupational Therapist Job Daily Duties
  • Conduct assessments to identify students’fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skill needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs/504s) tailored to each student’s specific goals and educational needs.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to recommend accommodations and strategies that support student participation and success.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress notes, and service logs.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Educate school personnel on the importance of sensory and motor development in the learning environment.
  • Stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes affecting occupational therapy services in educational settings.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and federal laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
