Job Description


Job Title: Special Education Teacher –Middle School (Self-Contained)
Location: Circle Pines, Minnesota

Phaxis Education is seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time school-based position in Circle Pines, MN. This is a contract role is for a middle school 6–8 self-contained classroom. Whether you’re an experienced educator or a new graduate, we welcome candidates dedicated to supporting diverse learners.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time school-based role

  • 6th–8th grade self-contained caseload

  • Monday through Friday schedule

  • Onsite position with a supportive district team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)

  • Active Minnesota teaching license in Special Education or ability to obtain (required)

  • Experience working in elementary or middle school settings preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided)

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals

  • Adapt general education curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs

  • Implement behavior management strategies and positive behavior supports

  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and parent communications

  • Collaborate with related service providers, classroom staff, and families

  • Maintain compliance with IDEA, state, and district special education regulations

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
