Special Education Teacher –Middle School
Location: Beach Park, IL

Phaxis Education is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support middle school students (grades 6–8) in Beach Park, IL. This onsite role is ideal for educators passionate about making a lasting impact in special education. Whether you're an experienced teacher or a new graduate with your LBS1 license, we encourage you to apply.

Special Education Teacher Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • Type: Full-time, school-based contract (option to renew annually)

  • Caseload: Middle school students, self-contained or inclusion setting

  • Location: Onsite at a public school in Beach Park, Illinois

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals

  • Modify curriculum and teaching methods based on student needs

  • Implement positive behavior strategies and classroom management techniques

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families

  • Maintain accurate IEP documentation and comply with IDEA and state education regulations

  • Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews

Special Education Teacher Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)

  • Active or pending Illinois LBS1 teaching license (required)

  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)

  • New graduates with LBS1 licensure are welcome to apply
