Job Description

Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Elmhurst, Illinois

Phaxis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and licensed School Psychologist for a part-time position in Elmhurst, IL. This school-based opportunity offers the chance to work with 6–8th grade students, providing direct support through assessments, counseling, and team collaboration to promote academic and emotional success.

School Psychologist Job Details:
  • Position Type: Part-time
  • Schedule: 3 days per week (21 hours)
  • Caseload: middle school students
  • Setting: Onsite in a public school district in Elmhurst, Illinois
School Psychologist Job Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology (required)
  • Active or pending Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

School Psychologist Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess students’cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to develop and monitor effective interventions
  • Contribute to MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) and RTI (Response to Intervention) frameworks
  • Support crisis intervention and behavioral planning for at-risk students
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with IDEA, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), and district regulations
