Position Overview

As a K–12 school-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Catskill, NY area, you will provide critical mental health and social services that support students’emotional development, resilience, and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and mental health assessments to identify needs and barriers to learning

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP social-emotional goals

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling/therapy sessions addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to integrate supportive strategies into the school environment

  • Track student progress, collect data on therapeutic outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed

  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, 504 planning, and multidisciplinary team discussions

  • Ensure all documentation and practices comply with district policies and New York State regulations

Job Details

  • Position: Contract role in a school setting, with the option to extend into the 2025–2026 school year based on mutual interest

  • Hours: Typically 5–15 hours per week

  • Caseload: K–12 students, assigned based on district needs

Successful Candidates Possess

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and active LCSW licensure in New York State (required)

  • At least two years of supervised clinical experience in school-based or pediatric settings (preferred)

  • Strong collaborative, organizational, and communication skills

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship
