Phaxis is looking for a qualified Contract School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in schools located near Elizabeth, CO for the current academic year. Position Details:
Title: Contract School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Near Elizabeth, CO
Caseload: Provide speech-language pathology services to support assigned students in special education programs
Schedule: 37.5 - 40 hours per week (schedule to be determined based on district needs)
Duration: School Year
Pay Range: $45-$55+/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and coordinate speech-language pathology services in accordance with student IEP mandates.

  • Evaluate students’communication abilities and diagnose speech, language, and fluency disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's communication needs.

  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, psychologists, and administrators to integrate therapy goals into classroom routines.

  • Engage with parents, guardians, and community partners to build a supportive network for students.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation (session notes, progress reports, reviews, etc.).

  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.

  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing student communication and overall well-being.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state speech-language pathology regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Colorado Speech-Language Pathology License and, ideally, ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or equivalent.

  • Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field from an accredited program.

  • Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred;new graduates with relevant clinical experience will also be considered.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Preferred Work Arrangement:
This position is preferred to be 100% in-person. However, we will also consider hybrid arrangements for highly experienced candidates who can effectively engage with students remotely.
