Elementary School Special Education Teacher Job Information:
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Caseload: Elementary, Self Contained
  • Location: Onsite in Salida, CO
Special Education Teacher Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
  • Valid or pending Colorado teaching license with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Elementary School Special Education Teacher Job Duties:
  • Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with students’Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs
  • Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans using positive supports
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support inclusive education
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and data-driven planning sessions
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA, Colorado Department of Education regulations, and district standards

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.
