Job Description

Title: School Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: Fife, WA 

School Based Occupational Therapist Job Details: 
  • Hours: Full-time, part-time candidates will also be considered
  • Caseload: Candidate experience, and caseload availability  
  • Commutable to Fife, WA daily 
School Based Occupational Therapist Job Requirements: 
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
  • Note: new graduates are welcome to apply
  • An active WA state licensure (required)
  • An Active or in process Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate
  • Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor
School Based Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to identify students’fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skill needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs/504s) tailored to each student’s specific goals and educational needs.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to recommend accommodations and strategies that support student participation and success.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, progress notes, and service logs.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences.
  • Educate school personnel on the importance of sensory and motor development in the learning environment.
  • Stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes affecting occupational therapy services in educational settings.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and federal laws such as IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.
