Now Hiring: School Physical Therapist (PT) –Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Park Ridge, IL
 
Physical Therapist (PT) Job Details:
  • Job Type: Full-time or part-time school-based contract
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Caseload: K–12 students across various school sites in Park Ridge, IL
  • Setting: Public school district
Physical Therapist (PT) Job Requirements:
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active or pending Illinois PT license
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

School Physical Therapist Job Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students'gross motor skills, strength, coordination, balance, and functional mobility
  • Create and implement IEP-based physical therapy plans that align with educational goals
  • Deliver direct PT services to students individually or in group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and support student success
  • Document evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress notes in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team planning, and family consultations
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology as needed
  • Provide staff training on mobility and safety procedures in the school setting
  • Stay updated on best practices in pediatric physical therapy and school-based interventions

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
