Title: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Location: Millbrook, New York
Pay Rate: Up to $65+ / hour (negotiable for the right candidate)

As a school-based Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Millbrook, New York,
your days will include

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s communication and academic needs.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and families.

  • Adapt classroom materials and create accessible learning environments.

  • Offer support in areas such as language development, auditory training, and the use of assistive technology.

  • Participate in team meetings and maintain compliance with IDEA and district guidelines.

Job Details
Position: Contract –2025–2026 Academic Year in a school setting
Hours: Full-time (Monday –Friday)
Caseload & Grade Levels: Serving multiple caseloads and age groups across various school sites

Successful Candidates Possess

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field (required)

  • An active or pending New York State Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification, or the ability to obtain (required)

  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)

  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor
