Special Education Teacher –2025–2026 School Year
Location: Ashburn, VA
Pay Rate: $40–$50+ per hour
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time (flexible options available)

We’re currently hiring Special Education Teachers for the 2025–2026 school year in the Ashburn, VA area. Whether you're looking for part-time flexibility or a full-time position, this is your chance to secure a role early and choose from a variety of age groups and caseloads.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, evidence-based instruction to K–12 students with IEPs

  • Develop and implement IEPs in alignment with federal, state, and district guidelines

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, parents, and school teams

  • Support students’academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development

  • Track progress, adjust instruction, and ensure compliance with special education laws

  • Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments where all learners can thrive
Position Details

  • Type: Contract role within a public school district

  • Start Date: August 2025 (interview now for early access to caseloads!)

  • Caseload: K–12;multiple needs across grade levels and exceptionalities

  • Schedule: Flexible –choose part-time or full-time depending on your availability
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)

  • Valid Special Education Teaching License in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one (required)

  • School-based or pediatric experience (preferred but not required)

  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. Without sponsorship

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
