About These Roles
A school system in the Richmond region is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join their instructional team. Candidates will support students in structured, nurturing classrooms with a focus on individual growth and behavioral support.
Elementary SPED Teacher (PK–4)
Classroom Setting: Combination of inclusion services and self-contained supports
Caseload: Around 7 students
—Includes early elementary and upper elementary learners

Student Needs:
Mixed communication profiles (verbal and nonverbal), behavioral needs including aggression, and individualized learning goals.
Upper Elementary / Intermediate SPED Teacher (Grades 5–6)
Caseload: Approximately 7–8 students in a classroom-based setting
Focus Areas: Behavior support, academic reinforcement, social development
Assignment & Schedule
Start Date: January 5
End Date: June 5
Guaranteed Hours: 35–37.5 per week
Temp-to-Hire Track: The district is open to retaining top performers for 2026–2027
Administrative team is OOO beginning December 19 —interviews are underway before/after this date

Drew Anson is Chief Delivery Officer at Phaxis, a Workforce Solutions Company based in New York.

Drew is a seasoned executive with more than 13 years of Services & Recruitment experience. In that time, he has supported numerous Fortune 100/500/1000 organizations across industries by providing global workforce solutions, namely resources and thought leadership for large-scale projects, implementations, and managed services.

Prior to joining Phaxis predecessor firm Park Hudson in 2021, Drew spent three years at engineering technology and talent solutions firm, Collabera, as Director of Sales in North Carolina. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly eight years at Insight Global, most recently as Sales Manager of the Columbus, OH office.

He holds a degree from Central Michigan University in Sales & Marketing.
