Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Belmont, MA
Pay Rate: $50 –$60 / hour (negotiable)

As a middle school Special Education Teacher in Belmont, MA,
your days will include:

  • Developing and delivering individualized instruction based on IEP goals

  • Adapting curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet student needs

  • Managing classroom behavior using positive behavioral supports and interventions

  • Collaborating with related service providers, general education teachers, and families

  • Participating in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences

  • Maintaining compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations regarding special education
Job Details

  • Position: Contract –FMLA coverage (Sept. 1 –Nov. 30, with possible extension into December)

  • Hours: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week

  • Grade Level: 7th & 8th grade

  • Caseload: 20–25 students (mild to moderate)

  • Classroom: Case management of students while teacher is on leave

  • Interview Method: Virtual
Successful Candidates Possess

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)

  • An active MA teaching license in Special Education (required)

  • Experience in a school setting (preferred, but new graduates will be considered)

  • The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor
